About Quebec
Quebec City, in French la Ville de Québec, is the capital city of the province of Quebec in Canada. It was founded in 1608 by Samuel de Champlain, being one of the oldest cities in North America. The remains of the ramparts surrounding the Old Quebec town aside from being the only fortified city walls that remains in North America, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985 as part of the Historic District of Old Quebec.
While your visit in Quebec City you shouldn’t miss La Citadelle, which is part of the old city, the Château Frontenac, the Parilament of Quebec, la Place-Royale, the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrineand also the Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge. An interesting trip is to jump into the funiculaire in order to move between the upper and lower sites of the Old Town, you’ll get magnificent views! Also by taking the ferry, you’ll be able to get to Lévis riverside with also nice views of the Château Frontenac and the Lower Old Town, located in the opposite riverside.
