Nay Pyi Taw International Airport (IATA: NYT; ICAO: VYEL), formerly known as Ela Airport, is the main international airport serving Nay Pyi Taw, the capital city of Myanmar. 


NYT Airport is located in the town of Ela (Alar), 16 km southeast of Naypyitaw city centre.

Nay Pyi Taw Airport was officially inaugurated in 2011 and set three different construction phases to increase passengers numbers. 

Naypyidaw Airport is able to handle up to 3,5 million passengers per year.
