Naples Airport Bus
Need to get from Naples Airport (NAP) to your destination? Since there’s no train or metro link, buses are your primary public transit choice. Here’s the lowdown on your options:
Alibus Shuttle: Your Quick City Connection
The Alibus is your express route from Naples Airport to key locations.
- Route: It efficiently connects the airport to the Central Train Station (Piazza Garibaldi) and the Molo Beverello Port. Key stops include Piazza Garibaldi, Immacolatella/Porta di Massa, and Molo Angioino/Beverello.
- Frequency & Speed: Buses run frequently (every 10-30 minutes) from early morning (5:30 am) until midnight. The ride to the Central Station is a speedy 15 minutes, while the Port takes about 35 minutes.
- Finding the Bus: The Alibus stop is conveniently located a short walk from the terminal exit, near the pickup area and the Taxi Collettivo stand.
- Tickets: A one-way ticket costs €5. You can purchase it onboard (cash only), online, or from vending machines in the Arrivals area. A "Unico Alibus" ticket also costs €5 and allows you to use other public transportation in the following 90 minutes. Remember to validate your ticket upon boarding.
- Luggage: You can bring one large piece of luggage and two carry-ons without extra charges.

Other Bus Lines: Exploring Beyond Downtown
- Local Buses (C68 & 180): These buses depart from a stop about 300 meters from the terminal. However, they don’t go directly to the city center. C68 goes to Piazza Carlo III, while Bus 180 goes to Piazzale Vincenzo Tecchio.
- Suburban & Intercity Buses: For destinations outside of Naples, several companies operate buses from NAP. Check for stops right outside of the departure level of the airport.
Important Considerations
- Alibus tickets are separate from standard Naples urban bus tickets.
- Always validate your bus ticket when you get on the bus.
- Departure times for suburban buses can vary due to traffic.
If your flight is delayed, tickets are valid for the next schedule.
In short, the Alibus is your best bet for a fast and direct connection to central Naples, while other bus options can connect you to different parts of the city and region.
