Caracas Airport (IATA: CCS, ICAO: SVMI), officially known as Simon Bolivar International Airport and Maiquetia Airport, is the largest airport in Venezuela and the main international gateway to the country.

Please note that due to Venezuela’s crisis numbers have changed dramatically and there are no official numbers either of the last years.

The airport is located in Maiquetia, 21 km (13 miles) northwest of downtown Caracas.

Caracas Airport is a hub for Conviasa, LASER Airlines, Solar Cargo and Transcarga. The airport handles both domestic and international flights. In 2016 the airport handled 12 million passengers.
